About FireBlob Winter

FireBlob Winter is a platform-puzzle game where you command a small fireball whose one job is to reach a wood fire and light it. Heat is your tool as much as your nature: you use the ball's heat abilities to melt ice out of the way, and you use objects placed in each level to get where rolling alone will not take you. This sequel adds more levels and detail than the original, better graphics, new puzzles, a speedrun mode and a final boss battle. The style is deliberately NES-inspired, with colourful graphics, retro-flavoured sounds and calm music that keeps it a relaxing game rather than a tense one.

How to Play

On Edge, use the arrow keys to move and press H, the up arrow or Space to jump. In other browsers, move with A and D or the arrow keys and jump with H, W, the up arrow or Space. On mobile, use the touch buttons. Reach the wood fire in each level and ignite it.

Tips & Tricks

Melt ice you will need to pass through before you build momentum, since stopping mid-route to wait costs you the run-up. Look at the level's objects before moving — most puzzles are solved by using one rather than by better platforming. Try speedrun mode only after a level is solved, not as a way of solving it.
