About Sins and Desires

Sins and Desires is a visual novel in the detective genre with romance elements. You play as detective Felicia, sent to the village of West-Alben to find out what happened to a missing aristocrat named William. The story branches according to what you choose, and a relationship system runs underneath it that affects which ending you reach — so the investigation and the people you deal with while conducting it are not separate concerns. Romance routes are available with Albert, Felix and Victor. The atmosphere does a lot of the work, built out of a dark mansion, a foggy lake and a village where most people are keeping something back. Every choice counts toward where you finish.

How to Play

Read through the story and make choices as they are offered. Your decisions shape both the investigation into William's disappearance and your relationships with the characters you meet, and the two together determine which ending you get. There are romance routes with Albert, Felix and Victor to follow if you want them.

Tips & Tricks

Pay attention to who benefits from each thing you are told, since this is a village where people are withholding rather than lying outright. Because the relationship system feeds the ending, consistency with a character tends to pay better than trying to keep everyone happy. Expect to replay — branching stories are built to be seen more than once.
